ABSU demands provincialisation of venture schools

KOKRAJHAR, SEP 14: President of All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has demanded early provincialisation of all venture schools and appointment of teachers lying vacancies in the Bodo medium schools in BTC region as well outside of BTAD for paving the way healthy development and uplift of the Bodo medium education in the state.
 Speaking with the reporters in Kokrajhar on Monday,Boro informed that a delegation team from the students union recently met Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati and urged him to take bold steps to implement the clause 6.2 which related to the Bodo issues education development and welfare aspects in the BTR accord(Bodoland Territorial Region) with letter and spirit.He said that through the spirit of the BTR accord,Bodo medium educational related issues would be solved as state and centre are stressing to make properly implementation of the historic BTR accord.
On the rehabilitation of the NDFB,Boro informed that the students union delegation met IGP(law and order) Hiren Nath and thoroughly discussed over the early implementation of granting rehabilitation of the NDFB leader and cadres through the spirit of BTR accord.He said that the students union has put an urged to the state and centre government to extend necessary step while providing rehabilitation measures for the NDFB leader of cadres.He said that centre had put a clause for granting rehabilitation for the NDFB leader and cadres in the BTR accord and accordingly the students union has been pressing the government for early step in building implementation in the rehabilitation services.
On the withdrawal of all Bodoland movement related cases, ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the students union demanded to the government to make withdrawal of all Bodoland movement related cases through the spirit BTR accord as four factions of the NDFB have signed in the BTR accord. He said that the BTR accord had put ways to make disposal and withdrawal of all cases of the NDFB leader and cadres and accordingly cases are to be withdrawn in coming days.
“We placed demand on the government to make withdrawal of all cases which are related to Bodoland movement of the Bodo peoples through the BTR accord”, Boro added.
