ABSU Demands Quick Justice for Rahul Basumatary

KOKRAJHAR, SEP 6: The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) has demanded quick justice for Dr Rahul Basumatary, who brutally murdered on Saturday in Jorhat. In a press statement, ABSU general secretary Lawrence Islary, said that the All Bodo Students Union expresses deep shock and extends condolence to the bereaved parents and  relatives of Doctor Rahul Basumatary, who was undergoing his internship after graduation in Homeopathic from Dr. J.K. Saikia of Homeopathic Medical College, Jorhat. He was brutally murder at  his rented room at the house of Hira prasad Nath, Chandan Nagar, Jorhat. This gruesome murder is suspected to be involvement of more than one person as the accused persons.  ABSU has sent a letter to CM of Assam demanding quick justice for Rahul by constituting Special Investigation Team and to try the case in the Fast Track Court for quick delivery of Justice.
ABSU urge the government of Assam to take stringent action against the accused involved and punish  as per the penal laws. Since 3 months Rahul has been engaged for Covid Duty therefore we urge the Government of Assam to grant compensation to the victim family for loss of such young and dynamic upcoming Doctor in Homeopathic Medicine.
He is hailing from Udalguri district and was son of Mr. Nogen Basumatary & Mrs. Tirala
Basumatary.
ABSU strongly condemn such a brutal murder to a young and dynamic person of achieving higher education, the state government must look into all the angle of the gruesome murder with proper investigation and nab all the culprits involved, Islary added.
