KOKRAJHAR, OCT 8: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) slammed and strongly expresses unhappiness over the Bodoland University authorities for not providing grade sheets for the students those have appeared in various semester examinations in the university.
Addressing the reporters at a press statement held at Bodofa House in Kokrajhar, vice president of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) Khwrwmdao Wary slammed the Bodoland University authorities for not initiating to distribute grade sheet for the students who have pass the various semester examinations under the Bodoland University.
He said Bodoland University authorities totally delayed the distribution of grade sheets.
The ABSU has warned to take indefinite strike against the Bodoland University if BU fail to accord grade sheet within October 21.
He said that student fraternities in the Bodoland University are depriving due opportunities to get higher studies due to non getting grade sheet from the Bodoland University.
He has alleged that Bodoland University is not running in a suitable environment as students communities are facing hardships since 2020.
He has urged the university authorities to make enhencement of capacities of admission facilities for students in different departments in the university.
He has demanded appointment of permanent registrar in the university to make good administration in the university.
“The students union sought intervention from governor of Assam who is chancellor of the University”, he said adding that ABSU always has been opined that the Bodoland University is the only university in BTR districts and Lower Assam districts, so the Bodoland University must be uplifted with providing quality education among in the university.
He said that the Bodoland University was established to extend rendering services for quality educational environment among the society in the region. He said that the Bodoland University must dedicate deep services for rendering healthy and quality educatiional atmosphere in the region.
