ABSU lighted candles in support of implementation of BTR accord

KOKRAJHAR, SEP 21: Extending thanks and wishing a healthy implementation of all clauses of the BTR accord, the ABSU lighted candles at Bodofa House today evening in Kokrajhar. The ABSU has initiated candle lighting initiative after Union Home minister Amit Shah Sunday assured and instructed state government to implement the clauses of the BTR accord within a month next with letter and spirit. Hundreds of ABSU members joined hands in the candle lighting. The students union has urged the government  ABSU general secretary Lawrence Islary said that the union government has emphasized to implement the clauses of the BTR accord with positive response within one month for proper implementation of the BTR accord. ABSU president Dipen Boro while extending sincere thanks to the centre government said, “After meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah state cabinet minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on Sunday that systematic planning has been made to implement all the clauses of BTR peace accord within one month in speedy and time bound manner. The ABSU extends our gratitude to CM and FM for this initiative and to union home minister for taking special focus on historic Bodo accord as a national commitment. Our support and co-operation will remain continue in this regard for faster implementation with development agenda”.
