KOKRAJHAR, SEP 23: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has urged the Bodoland University authorities to solve the issues of educational related situation including providing of certificate and grade sheet matter with immediate effect to held a healthy educational environment in the university.
A 12 member delegation team of All Bodo Students Union under the leadership of ABSU president Dipen Boro met vice chancellor of Bodoland University Prof Laishram Ladusingh today at Bodoland University office chamber.
In a press statement, ABSU president Boro and general secretary Khanindra Basumatary said that the students union had a discussion with the Vice Chancellor of Bodoland University in presence of the Academic Registrar. The meeting was pursued after ABSU served ultimatum regarding certain issues and the protest demonstration was proposed to be held on 23rd September, however the University had assured to resolve certain matters through dialogue.
In anticipation to the invitation by the University for Discussion on certain matters have been assured such as: regarding the issue of Grade Sheet for the 6th Semester undergraduate courses of 2020 and 2021 batches, which were not issued despite several times approached by the student body, however the Controller of Examination was summoned and instructed by the VC to complete the issue of grade sheets to the students within the month of September, 2021. For which many students are being deprived for getting admission at different Universities in the country.
The students union said that the appointment of regular Registrar had been pursued to be resolved at the earliest, which has led to run the University since long without the permanent registrar.
The condition has been set for the already advertised recruitment for the post of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors through the discussion that the conduct of interview is allowed but the declaration of the results has to be made only after the appointment of regular Registrar.
The overall ongoing Post Graduate admission process has also been discussed whereby to benefit maximum students with quality education in the University.
The students union is keen to support any issue for the welfare and quality education for the students as it is the only University in the Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
The students union has urged the university authority to extend rendering services of quality education and healthy educational environment among the students to create healthy development of human resources in the region.
