ABSU President Dipen Boro on Laika-Dodhia Issue

KOKRAJHAR, JAN 16: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) president Dipen Boro has urged the state government to solve the issues and grievances of the Laika-Dodhia through a strict measures in Tinsukia district.

In an interview with reporters on Saturday in Kokrajhar, Boro said that peoples who are residing along the Laika-Dodhia, are indigenous communities in the state of Assam. He said that state government should take necessary steps to ensure healthy living and welfare of the peoples who are carrying their protest in support of their issue and grievances.

He said that peoples who are facing hardship and problems since few months due to eviction drive from forest department.

He has demanded early rehabilitation steps from the government for the affected peoples of Laika-Dodhia area.
