KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 20: A three tier security arrangement has been made along the all strong rooms setting up across the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
On Tuesday, additional DGP of Assam and in-charge IGP of BTR, Dr L R Bishnoi, Kokrajhar SP Rakesh Roushan and Deputy Commissioner, Bhaskar Phukan made a visit at Basic training center strong room in Kokrajhar.
Dr Bishnoi inspected all corners of the strong room and took stock about the security deployment where representatives from UPPL and BPF parties are engaging in observation in the centre.
There are six strong rooms are arranged in four districts of the BTR areas for 12 constituencies including Kokrajhar, Gossaigaon, Kajalgaon, Mushalpur, Tamulpur and Udalguri.
All strong rooms are being kept under closed watch of strict security observation involving CRPF besides installing CCTV along the strong room centres.
Dr Bishnoi told that a strict security vigil has been arranged in all strong rooms to check and guard the EVM keeping strong rooms.
He informed that sufficient security forces have been deployed to guard the strong rooms involving district police across the districts.
He said that the counting of the assembly elections would be taking place on 2nd May in a tight security arrangements.
He said that all election related jobs would be carried under strict security vigil to meet a peace and successful environment.
