Air India-SATS Recruitment Drive In BTR

Kokrajhar, April 28: Air India-SATS Airport Services Ltd. successfully completed a recruitment drive for youths from five districts of BTR, namely, Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur and Udalguri at CIT Kokrajhar today.

A team of eight human resource experts from AI-SATS have been conducting the recruitment process for two positions, namely, Customer Service Agent and Customer Service Junior.

Pankaj Jaiswal, CFO, AI-SATS, said that the measure has been carried out in view of AI-SATS felt need for recruiting talented youth from Northeast India on the one hand, and the request and support extended by Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro, in organizing such an event.

Earlier, on the occasion of the Career Counselling and AI-SATS Pre-recruitment Orientation Programme held across four centers in BTR on the 25th April 2022.

BTR CEM Pramod Boro said that the BTR Government is committed to fulfilling its promise of providing jobs to the unemployed youth of the region. He expressed his thankful to AI-SATS team for agreeing to conduct the recruitment drive in BTR.” Apart from the AI-SATS, there would be many more job openings in different avenues and agencies in the coming days, he added.

It may be mentioned here that the Government of BTR is in the process of capacity building of the youth through the innovative Bodoland Super 50 Mission, each for aspirants of technical and medical studies, and Indian Civil Services, to provide specialized coaching and support to students of BTR coming from poor economic background. Again, the Government of BTR has been in negotiation with various recruitment firms and agencies for conducting special recruitment of youths in the region with the aim of providing secure jobs and incomes for unemployed youth. These preparations were also useful for preparing the youth for employment by the Government of Assam under its special recruitment drive for filling up vacancies in different departments and offices to fulfill its mandate of recruiting one lakh youth within the year 2022.

The Career Counselling and Pre-recruitment Orientation Programme was carried out in a phased manner all throughout the districts of BTR. Further, in order to reach out to all the youth of the region, the career orientation sessions were carried out in Tamuilpur College (Baksa), UN College (Chirang), CIT (Kokrajhar), Udalguri College (Udalguri) and IT Park, Kokrajhar.
