AKRSU Slams State Government For ST Status Issues

KOKRAJHAR, DEC 16: The All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union (AKRSU) has slammed the BJP ruled state and central government for not initiating any step to accord ST status to the Koch Rajbongshi community and reconstruction of Kamatapur separate state within Indian constitution till date.

Addressing the reporters at a press conference held at Kokrajhar Press Club today, AKRSU president Boloram Barman and secretary Sonadhar Roy slammed the BJP ruled state and central governments for not initiating any step to solve the issue and demands of the Koch Rajbongshi community.

AKRSU leaders accused that the state government and centre failed to work for the welfare and development of the Koch Rajbongshi peoples even after BJP party had promised for granting ST status.

AKRSU leaders strongly criticized the state and centre government for not showing good response towards the solving of issues and demands of the Koch Rajbongshi community in the state.

AKRSU has warned to take mass movement if their demands are not meet immediate manner.

On KLO issue, AKRSU has eyed peaceful solutions of the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) as KLO has expressed it’s willingness to come for peace initiative.

The students union said that they wants  successful of peace talks of KLO with government and accordingly government must take bold step to solve the demands of the Koch Rajbongshi community.
