Kokrajhar, May 21: Along with other parts of the country, Anti-Terrorism Day was observed by the District administration, Kokrajhar on Saturday.
Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka, senior officials and staff of the district administration participated in the program.
All the members present took a pledge administered by Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka against terrorism as well as to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all human beings.
Deka also spoke briefly about anti-terrorism and asked to take initiatives for awareness all across the district.
Anti-Terrorism Day is observed every year across the country on May 21 on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated by the terrorists on this day in 1991.
