KOKRAJHAR, SEP 7: Along with rest of the state, the Anundoram Borooah award was distributed among the meritorious students those have secured 75% and above in the HSLC final examinations(2022) on Wednesday at different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Notably, the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme (ARBAS), was launched in the year 2005 by the Government of Assam to motivate, inspire and create healthy competitions amongst students and enrich their perceptions through up-to-date knowledge in this globalised world.
In Kokrajhar, a total of 325 meritorious students were ceremonially given away Anundoram Borooah award at a programme held at Science College auditorium hall in Kokrajhar.
Each of meritorious student was given away a certificate of the award consisting Rs.16,000 through the DBT procedure in the programme which was organised by district administration, Kokrajhar.
Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member Pramod Boro ceremonially distributed the Anundoram Borooah award which wasIn his speech, Boro said that the state government and BTR government initiating a strong step for bringing healthy and quality educatiional environment among the society in region.He haa urged the student community to dedicate hard studies while acquiring higher studies in their life.
Among others, BTR executve member Ukil Mushahary, MLA Lawrence Islary, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Varnali Deka were prominent attendees.
In Baksa, Assam cabinet minister Nandita Gorlosa graced as guest on the Anundoram Borooah cash award distribution ceremony being held at Barama College auditorium.
BTCLA speaker Katiram Boro, BTR executive members Rakesh Brahma, Ghanashyam Das were also present in the event.
In Udalguri, a total 402 students who secured good percentage in the HSLC examination( 2022) were given away Anundoram Borooah award at a function held at the Auditorium Hall of Udalguri College.
Assam cabinet minister Bimal Bora attended as guest and handed over the award among the students which was organized by Inspector of Schools, Udalguri district circle.Among others, BTR executve members Dr Nilut Swargiary, Daobaisa Boro, MLA Charan Boro, BTC MCLA Fresh Mushahary, Udalguri deputy commissioner were graced as guests.
