KOKRAJHAR, NOV 17: The Congress party has alleged that UPPL party is B team of BJP in the state of Assam as both parties are maintaining secret understanding in BTC region.
APCC secretary and senior spokesperson of APCC Durga Das Boro on Tuesday cut the ribbon to inaugurate the newly setting up office of Fakiragram block Congress committee at Purani Bazar in Kokrajhar district.
Boro while addressing party members on the occasion said that Congress-AIUDF parties are jointly contesting the ensuing BTC council elections in 20 constituencies of 40 member house of Bodoland Territorial Council legislative assembly. He said that Congress-AIUDF party are winning double digit number in the contesting constituencies as peoples are supporting the Congress-AIUDF candidates. He said that Congress-AIUDF parties are fully prepared to contest the council elections. He has expressed his hopeful that no party can form council administration in BTC without support of Congress-AIUDF parties.
He said that the Congress-AIUDF party will play a big role in forming council in Bodoland Territorial Council.
He said that BJP party has been trying to woo the common masses by remarking corruption and anomalies perpetrated in Bodoland Territorial Council in their 17 year rule in BTAD administration.
He has accused of that BJP party has been trying to subside the alliance partner BPF party for their vested party gaining up interest in the state. He said that BPF party leaders must know about the strategy building of BJP party. He alleged that BJP party has been gaining up its party interest ahead BTC in elections as well Assam Assembly elections due in 2021.
He has charged that BJP party is using the UPPL party as B team in the state as both parties are maintaining good relation and communication.
Boro informed that the Congress-AIUDF alliance party’s massive campaign for BTC election was started from Monday for four districts across the region.
Several leaders from Congress, AIUDF are seen busy in election campaigning at various places.
On grand alliance in Assam, Boro said that the Congress-AIUDF parties are deciding to contest jointly in the Assam assembly election due in 2021. He has claimed that the Congress-AIUDF alliance party’s candidates are winning majority seats to form next state government in Assam.
On Lafikul Islam Ahmed murder case, Boro said that the BJP led state government never think welfare in the region. He has urged the government to initiate strict investigation against the incident.
