Archery Gold Medalist Gohela Boro Hospitalized In Kokrajhar


KOKRAJHAR, JUN 5: National archery gold medalist Gohela Boro has been hospitalized due to severe suffering at RNB civil hospital in Kokrajhar. She has been facing financial hardships while taking better treatment.

Boro was suffering of severe diseases since few days back, who had earned gold medal during the National Games, 2015 held in Kerala.

She is hailed from New Amguri village of Kokrajhar district and her health condition is very deteriorated since few days ago and on Friday admitted to RNB civil hospital Kokrajhar for medical treatment.

She has faced haemoglobin crisis in her health besides facing financial scarcities.

In an exclusive interview with NKTV today at RNB civil hospital Kokrajhar, Boro said that she was supposed to take better treatment in New Delhi in February last, but couldn’t go there due to financial crisis as well health condition.

She said that she is now in a critical condition in her life as no sufficient monetary capacity in her family for treatment, on the other lockdown due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

She has expressed her hopeful that she would be happy if she gets financially support from well wisher or government for her better treatment in her life.

She has made an appealed to the BTC administration and state government for extending financial support for her early recovery from illness.

Doctor of the hospital said that her treatment is going on in the hospital.

Notably, the gold medalist Gohela Boro has been suffering a severe disease since 2016 and going under treatment at various hospitals including New Delhi.

She has now need huge amounts of monetary support to get her better treatment.
