Assam Gaurav Award Winner Kalpana Boro Passes Away 


KOKRAJHAR, JUL 10: Noted Anganwadi worker and Assam Gaurav Award-2022 winner, Kalpana Boro passed away today morning at her Balisiha residence near Rowta in Udalguri district of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) after a brief illness.

Kalpana Boro is well known for efficient rapport building with community as an Anganwadi worker in the region as well across the state. She showed great performance in providing supplementary nutrition & regular growth monitoring of SAM (severe acute malnutrition) for children.

She won the Assam Gaurav Award for the year of 2022 for her great work for the wellbeing of the children as an anganwadi worker.

She was honoured with Assam Gaurav Award from the state government for her dedication and efficient working towards the uplift and welfare of the community as an anganwadi worker.

Boro breathed her last at her Rowta residence of Udalguri district due to brief illness today morning. She was going under treatment for her ailments since few years.

Peoples from all walks of cutting across the communities in the region, have extended deep condolence and mourned over her untimely demise.

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro, BTR executive member Dr Nilut Swargiary have have expressed their extremely saddened by the demise of an Angwandi worker Kalpana Boro from Rowta Balisiha village, Udalguri district. They have extended condolences to the bereaved family members and prayers for the departed soul.

Kalpana Boro, an anganwadi worker from Balisiha village of Udalguri district, who won Assam Gaurav Award, 2022 from government of Assam for her contribution to society.
