BJSM president Janaklal expresses serious concern


KOKRAJHAR, OCT 17: President of Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch (BJSM) and social activist Janaklal Basumatary has expressed serious concern for not taking any step on Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania (Heera Sarania) who has elected to the Lok Sabha consecutive second term on indulging fake ST certificate and misled the parliamentarian system in today’s hour. Speaking the reporters on Saturday at a press conference held at Kokrajhar Press Club, Basumatary demanded early cancellation of ST certificate which was issued from the certificate distribution authority immediately and verified properly how he had received the ST certificate. He said that Sarania community is not enlisted communities in the scheduled tribes in the state of Assam. He has accused of Sarania has been becoming MP in Lok Sabha by misleading the ST communities and he has been cheating the rights of the ST communities.

Basumatary has alleged that Sarania community is belonged to the Boro Kochary tribes and by cheating the concern authority he got the ST certificate and playing politics in his life. He said that he and some members are the Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch had filed complaint with High Court and Supreme Court against the Sarania, yet no good gestures of verification was made into the use of fake ST certificate of Sarania. He has expressed his suspect of political influencing upon him for not taking stern step to check and verification of fake ST certificate using till date.


He has urged the state level certificate scrutinised committee to make properly verification and cancelled the ST certificate which was belonged to Naba Kumar Sarania and held the welfare measures towards scheduled tribes communities in the state. Basumatary said that being elected as an MP from Kokrajhar constituency, Sarania never think welfare and development for the ST communities, he only tried to make divisive tactics among the society in the area. On the government’s move to accord ST status to the six ethnic communities, Basumatary deadly opposed the move said that the six ethnic communities are very much populas and advanced communities in the state government Assam. He said that the existing ST communities would be affected if government accords ST status to the six ethnic communities in the state.
