BPF Extends Support to Independent Candidate Raju Barman at Fakiragram Constituency


KOKRAJHAR, NOV 14: Though the BPF party has not fielded candidate in Fakiragram constituency in Kokrajhar district for the BTC council elections, but on Saturday announced to extend support to the independent candidate Raju Kumar Barman at Fakiragram constituency in the council general elections due to be held in December next. Various student unions from different communities under Fakiragram constituency have and I extended support to Barman.

BPF MLA from Kokrajhar West LAC and senior vice president of BPF party Rabiram Narzary announced party’s decision to extend direct support to the independent candidate Raju Kumar Barman in Fakiragram constituency.

Narzary announced at a Press Conference held at Cithila on Saturday informed that his party is fully supporting Raju Kumar Barman who has been contesting independent in the ensuing BTC council elections. He has expressed his hopeful that Barman is getting last laugh from Fakiragram constituency with majority votes.

Various student bodies from different communities including AKRSU, BTC Bengali Youth Students Federation, Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation, BTC region Akhil Hindi Vikash Parishad, Hindivashi Yuva Chatra Parishad, Goria Moria Desi Jatiya Parishad, ex BTF, Koch Rajbongshi Sanmiloni have jointly decided to extend support to the independent candidate Raju Kumar Barman in the ensuing BTC council elections to get good governance and healthy social integration in the area.

AKRSU adviser Hiteswar Barman announced the supporting steps to Raju Kumar Barman for getting good governance among the society.

Meanwhile, UPPL candidate for Fakiragram constituency Matiur Rahman has expressed his hopeful that he is getting last week from the constituency as citizens are coming forward to extend support in favour of UPPL party. He said that there is no good response from common voters on BJP and other party candidates in Fakiragram constituency.

He said that UPPL party is winning absolute majority in the BTC council elections to form the BTC council administration.
