BPF will be vanished in BTC: Himanta Biswa Sarma


KOKRAJHAR, DEC 9: The electioneering campaign for the second phase of general elections for the Bodoland Territorial Council for 19 constituencies to be held on December 10 concluded at 4 pm in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts yesterday.

On the last day of BTC electioneering campaign in Kokrajhar, Assam Health and Education minister and NEDA convenor Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam BJP chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass, BJP MPs Dilip Saikia, Kamakhya Prasad Tassa, ex MP Biswajit Daimary have participated in the road show as well bike rally in support of BJP party candidates being organised at Salakati, Debargaon and Fakiragram constituencies.

Dr Sarma has made prediction of that BPF party will be vanished in BTC council elections as common masses are voting for parivartan and welfare services in BTAD.

He said that peoples in BTAD region are participating the council elections with well being to elect public representatives.

Dr Sarma said that BPF party has not been scoring any seats in Udalguri and Baksa district in the first phase council elections in BTAD, he said adding that BPF will be vanished in BTAD in the council elections.

Dr Sarma said this council’s election is for Parivartan and development services in BTAD.

Dr Sarma said that there was alliance with BPF and BJP party in the state for five years which would not to be extended anymore in coming days.

He said that the present alliance spirit would be continued till April next.

He has made appealed all sections in citizens to vote against BPF party and vote in favour of like minded independent candidate or suitable party candidates.

He said in the first phase, BJP performed good show and winning majority seats in the council elections to form BTAD administration.

He has alleged BPF indulged massive corruption and anomalies in their reigning periods in BTAD.

Ex Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Biswajit Daimary claimed that BJP party is winning majority seats in the council elections.

On the other hand, BPF supremo and ex BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary addressed his last election at Kachugaon in support of his candidature who is contesting from Kachugaon constituency.

He has expressed his hopeful of winning majority seats to form next BTC council administration for fourth consecutive term.

UPPL president Pramod Boro addressed his electioneering campaign at Monakocha ground under Fakiragram constituency in support of party candidate Matiur Rahman where tens of thousands party supporters and well wishers participated.

Boro said that peoples are voting in favour of UPPL party for Parivartan and good governance as well massive development.

In the last campaign, ex MP and senior UPPL leader UG Brahma, party vice president Moinul Haque were also attended.
