KOKRAJHAR, NOV 3: President of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) Hagrama Mohilary has clearly affirmed that BPF will voice on scheduling Congress-AIUDF alliance in the state just after the ensuing general elections to the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

On Tuesday, BPF president and former chief of BTC Mohilary addressed mass gatherings at Titaguri Janagaon ground under Debargaon constituency and Habrubari under Dotma constituency in Kokrajhar district to woo the common voters ahead the BTR election.
He said that the BTR election would be held in the first week of December next and next BTR legislative assembly would be formed by second week of the December from BPF party.
He said that BPF party is fully prepared to contest the elections with mass support as peoples from all walks of life are coming forward to extend support to the BPF party in the elections.
Notably, BPF party is contesting in 37 seats of the 40 member house of the BTR legislative assembly. UPPL contesting in 40, GSP 35, BJP 26, Congress 13 and AIUDF 7 in the BTR elections.
He said that his party is fully confident of getting massive support to win the ensuing BTR elections as party has been dedicating towards uplift and development work for all sections of the citizens.
He said BPF party is committed to work for the development and welfare of the citizens as party has been relentlessly taking welfare steps.
He has optimistic that no one party can win heart of common voters instead of BPF party.
“Many parties including BJP, UPPL, GSP can claim to win majority seats in the BTR legislative assembly elections, but they can’t score majority magic number in the BTR elections as BPF party is getting massive supports”, Mohilary said.
He has expressed his hopeful that BPF party is winning cent percent constituencies in the ensuing BTR elections due scheduled in December next with forming BTR legislative assembly with absolute majority seats winning, no doubt.
“BPF party wholeheartedly devoted for all round development and welfare for all sections of citizens in the region. BPF will stress deep to extend massive welfare aspects for the citizens if BPF party voted to the power in the BTR”, Mohilary said.
On the scheduling Congress-AIUDF grand alliance in the state, Mohilary said that the grand alliance spirit is a state politic’s affairs, but not with BTR elections so far. He has declined to put more remarks over the grand alliance of Congress-AIUDF alliance ahead the Assam Assembly elections due scheduled in 2021.
He said that BPF will not comment more on the scheduling Congress-AIUDF grand alliance so far, it will voice on the Congress-AIUDF grand alliance just after the BTR election.
“BPF is is now busy with BTR elections as election is going to be held in first week of the December next. We will say more just after the BTR elections over the grand alliance. The grand alliance spirit was up to the state affairs and not with BTR elections”, Mohilary added.
Assam Social welfare minister and senior BPF leader Pramila Rani Brahma also claimed that her party is fully confident of Winn 30 seats of the 40 member house of BTR legislative assembly. She said that BPF party has emphasize more integrity and commitment towards social uplift and development in the region.
Meanwhile, UPPL party carried out closing ceremony of the Padajatra for Parivartan across the districts on Tuesday to woo the common masses in the areas.
Dotma block committee of UPPL party organised the Padajatra rally at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district where thousands of party supporters and leaders participated the rally.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and senior UPPL leader Urkhao Gwra Brahma, UPPL women wing president Bina Goyary, UPPL secretary Raju Kumar Narzary were graced as guests in the event.
Brahma said that peoples across the BTR area are wanting Parivartan and massive development to meet good governance and healthy welfare and accordingly voting in favour of UPPL party in the ensuing BTR elections.He has alleged that BPF has indulged massive corruption and anomalies in their 17 year ruled in the council administration. Brahma has expressed his confidence of winning majority seats in the BTR elections.
On the other hand, BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass has claimed that BJP party is forming the BTR legislative assembly with winning majority seats of the 40 member house of cards BTR.
Dass addressed party meetings in Chirang and Udalguri districts and met with party members and supporters where he discussed on the preparedness for BTR elections.
