BTC CEM Pramod Boro Expresses Concern Over Crimes On Girls


KOKRAJHAR, MAY 23: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro has expressed serious concern over the increasing high of crimes on women, girls among the society which is not seeing suited for the social uplift in the region.

Boro strongly condemned the rape incidents on minor girls recently in Kokrajhar and it’s adjoins areas across the BTC districts, said that the state government and district administrations are taking strict steps against the anti social incidents.

He has urged the citizens to stand against the increasing of anti social activities and incidents which are perpetrated by some anti social doers among the society.

On the preventing steps on COVID-19, Boro said that BTC administration and state government are jointly initiating to check the COVID-19 enfluence situation in the region.

He has urged all sections of citizens to maintain social distance and using hands sanitization as well using masks to combat is Covid situation.

Meanwhile, BTC CEM Pramod Boro who himself has sanitized his office chamber at BTC Secretariat today.

All rooms of BTC Secretariat, BTC legislative assembly hall were also sanitized to sanitizing personals under the aegis of BTC Health and Family Welfare department.

BTC executive members Arup Kumar Dey and Ranjit Kumar Basumatary have also joined hands in the sanitizing initiative.

On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar Megh Nidhi Dahal and Superintendent of Police, Prateek Thube Vijay Kumar said that district administration has prepared fully step to check the COVID-19 enfluence across the district.

Dahal said that necessary step and measures have been initiated strong step to combat the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

He informed that circle level tasks force committee are formed to check the COVID-19 enfluence.
