KOKRAJHAR, JAN 21: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) administration has declared local Holiday on 27th January on the occasion of first BTR accord day celebration being organised at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr Kokrajhar.
In a notification, BTC Principal Secretary Siddarth Singh said that four districts of BTC including Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri will be remained local Holiday to enable the participation of the citizens in the first BTR accord day.
The grand celebration of BTR accord day will be beginning from 24th January where Union Home Minister Amir Shah is attending as chief guest.
Meanwhile, Assam director general of police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta arrived in Kokrajhar today to take stock about preparation for holding first BTR accord celebration being held at Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
Necessary preparation and arrangement’s works are progressing.
The Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr has been seeing busy for erecting main pandal, main gates across the Kokrajhar town.
Mahanta has inspected all corners of the celebration venue who was accompanied with BTAD (IGP) Anurag Agarwal and Kokrajhar SP Rakesh Roushan.
He said that preparation and arrangements are going in full swing to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He said that sufficient security vigil has been made along the celebration venue.
Ex MP and BJP leader Biswajit Daimary has also visited at the Green Field Bodofa Nwgwr Kokrajhar and took stock about preparation for the grand celebration of the BTR accord day.
