BTC Executive Member Daobaisa Boro Distributes Hands Sanitizer, Masks For Journalists

KOKRAJHAR, MAY 16: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTC) executive member Daobaisa Boro and UPPL youth members distributed hands sanitizer, masks among the journalists fraternities of Kokrajhar Press Club at a programme held at Kokrajhar Press Club today.

The distribution comes to extend support to the working journalists fraternities during the ongoing COVID-19 situation across the region.

BTC executive member Boro told that the BTC administration and UPPL youth wing have come forward to distribute hands sanitizer, masks for media persons those are the dedicatedly amidst the ongoing COVID-19 situation across the region.

He has lauded journalists fraternities that they are hard worker as well as COVID warriors among the society while reporting the COVID pandemic in the state.

He said that BTC administration always seeing welfare and integration for the journalists fraternities who are relentlessly rendering their services during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

He has urged all sections of citizens to maintain social distance as well using masks and regularly hands sanitization to combat the COVID-19 enfluence.

“We must come forward to extend support and help to the journalists fraternities for their bold soldering of reporting about the ongoing COVID-19 situation amidst COVID pandemic among the society”, Boro added.

Secretary of Kokrajhar Press Club, Hantigiri Narzary has extended sincere thanks to the BTC BTC executive member Daobaisa Boro and UPPL youth members for initiating to distribute hands sanitizer, masks among the members of Kokrajhar Press Club during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

He said that journalists fraternities of Kokrajhar Press Club are rendering their relentlessly services amidst the Covid pandemic.

Meanwhile, along with rest of the state,the third phase promulgation of SOP(standard of operating procedure) to combat the COVID-19 situation has been affected normal life in Kokrajhar town and it’s adjoining areas of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) administration.

The state government has issued third phase of SOP to combat the COVID-19 enfluence on Saturday with effect from Sunday.

In Kokrajhar town, thronging of peoples are seeing thin in the bazar, markets and shoppings etc.

Citizens are seeing come forward to extend support to the SOP declared from state for getting rid from the spreading of COVID-19 situation across the district.

However, citizens have urged the government to extend support towards the welfare and social integration among the society during the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

All kinds of road communication and bazar markets are seeing closed from 11 am.

Road communication in Kokrajhar district look deserted after 12 noon as curfew begins with effectively.

The state government has announced third phase of SOP to check the COVID-19 enfluence across the state as COVID situation has been getting increase day by day in the state.

In Kokrajhar district, till Saturday, the death toll has gone up to 14 with one more succumbed to hospital due to positive active case.The deceased was identified as Gwswkhang Brahma (32) of Bhalukmari.

A total 352 are detected positive active case of COVID-19 with 34 more positive cases were detected on Sunday across the district.
