BTC Polls: BJP Chief Dass Asks Party Men to Vote Against BPF

KOKRAJHAR, DEC 3: Assam state BJP chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass has asked party men to vote against BPF in the scheduled BTC council elections where saffron party has not fielded candidates across the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Council.

On Thursday, BJP chief Dass while addressing an election campaign at Daloabari tea estate ground under Banargaon constituency in Kokrajhar district, said that his party has fielded candidates in 26 constituencies and supported an independent candidate at Srirampur constituency in the council elections.

Notably, there is only two contesting candidates in Banargaon constituency in between BPF (Rajib Brahma) and UPPL (Rabiram Brahma).

A total 54,648 voters are franchising in the constituency during the council elections.

Dass said that BJP party so far broke down alliance with BPF due to alleged indulged of massive corruption and anomalies in Bodoland Territorial Council and unsuited continuing of alliance spirit in BTC administration.

He has alleged that BPF party has totally failed to work for welfare and development for the common areas in last 17 years rule in BTAD administration.

He has claimed that his saffron party is winning absolute majority to form the BTC council.

Dass said that BPF party had first itself broke down alliance with BJP first by not allowing executive member to lone elected BJP MCLA in BTC Legislative Assembly in 2016 through the spirit of alliance in the state.

BJP chief has asked his party members and well wishers to vote against the BPF party to elect good public representative in the ensuing BTC council elections in the region.

He said that his party was working for the welfare and development services of the common masses in the state.

He has advised party men to vote in favour of like minded independent candidate or other candidates those are well-being of the society.

Need to be mentioned that BJP chief Dass also addressed election campaigning at Baukhungri, Debargaon and Kachugaon constituencies in Kokrajhar district.

He has also expressed his hopeful that his party is winning majority seats in the scheduled BTC council elections to form BTC council administration.

Meanwhile, UPPL party leaders including central organising secretary of UPPL and noted modeller Kiron Boro, Kokrajhar district unit of UPPL party Vidhyadhar Brahma Choudhury have campaigned at Swrang High School ground Mwiderkhoro in support of Baukhungri constituency candidate Pratibha Brahma.

Boro said that her UPPL party has been emphasising to work for integration and tranquillity amongst the society for paving the way healthy development and welfare aspects.

She has urged all sections of society to vote in favour of UPPL party candidates for parivartan and massive welfare.

She has expressed her hopeful that UPPL party is winning majority seats to form BTC administration for new ray of hopes and aspirations.
