KOKRAJHAR, MAR 15 : Bodoland Territorial Council Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro inaugurated the new office building of the Kajalgaon Municipal Board constructed at a cost of Rs. 1,37,37,500 under SOPD (BTC) for the year 2017-18 at Chirang district headquarter Kajalgaon on Tuesday.
In this connection, a meeting was held in the auditorium of newly constructed municipal office where Chairman of Kajalgaon Municipal Board Rwngwra Narzary delivered the his welcome address.
In his speech, BTC Chief Pramod Boro congratulated to the residents of Kajalgaon town as well as the officials of Kajalgaon Municipal Board for having one new office building in the heart of the town.
Stating Kajalgaon is a development oriented town, he advised the municipal authorities to seek the advice of all sections of the people to make this Kajalgaon town a well planned one for the next 50 years.
He also called for taking measures to improve the infrastructure of the town by properly implementing various development schemes adopted by the Government of Assam as well as the BTC administration.
He also said that one mini auditorium would also be constructed at all the district headquarters of BTR to accommodate around 150 people for conducting meetings, seminars, etc. He also urged everyone to maintain peace atmosphere which is prevailing at present in BTR.
While dedicating the newly constructed office building in the service of the people, BTC Urban Development department’s executive member Wilson Hasda hoped that it would help in delivering prompt public services in an efficient manner.
The meeting was attended by BTC Forest and Land Revenue department’s Executive Member Ranjit Basumatary, Council members Saikhong Basumatary, Madhav Chandra Chetry, Siddli Revenue Circle Officer Amit Ranjan Barman and other officials of Kajalgaon Municipal Board and party workers of United People’s Party Liberal of Chirang district.
