BTR Deputy CEM Gabinda Heads UPPL Candidate Selection Committee For Assembly By-Polls

KOKRAJHAR, SEP 30: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has formed a five member’s canidate selection committee headed by BTR deputy CEM Gabinda Chandra Basumatary and prepared necessary strategy for the upcoming assembly by-polls across the region.

A two-day cabinet and executive committee meeting of the ruling UPPL party was concluded today being held at Bodofa Cultural complex in Kokrajhar with UPPL president Pramod Boro in the chair.

Notably, UPPL party held it’s cabinet meeting ahead the by-polls to be held at Gossaigaon and Tamulpur LACs in Bodoland Territorial Region districts schedules on 30th October.

UPPL party deeply discussed on the strengthening of party affairs as well bringing a healthy development environment among the society in the region besides resolved to contest the upcoming assembly by-polls at Gossaigaon and Tamulpur LACs directly with their own candidates and extending support to the NDA alliance candidates at Bhawanipur LAC and other LACs across the state.

UPPL president Pramod Boro, who is also BTR CEM told the media persons that UPPL party is fully prepared for the upcoming assembly by-polls in the region.

He has expressed his hopeful that his party candidate’s names for the by-polls are coming out within 2nd October.

He informed that a five member’s candidate selection committee was formed with BTR deputy CEM Gabinda Chandra Basumatary as chairman and accordingly selection committee has been working for finalisation of the candidates for the by-polls.

He has claimed that NDA alliance candidates are winning in all contesting constituencies across the state.

He said that BTR administration and state government are working dedicatedly towards the social integration and development across the state.

Boro informed that BTR administration has been stepping to make better communication with village headman and villagers in bringing a committed society by distributing mobile handsets for a speedy up communication building up in the entire region.

Boro has hailed the ULB militant outfit organisation members who have returned to the mainstream on Wednesday after shun violence activities.

He said that the BTR area’s citizens want peace and tranquility environment among and accordingly BTR administration and state government are initiating good steps towards bringing healthy development.

Boro said his BTR administration and UPPL party was working towards the welfare and development of the society since voted to the power in BTR districts and state government.

He said that so far 57 poachers under Raimona National Park surrendered with arms before the BTR administration under the strong initiative taken from BTR administration and hopeful that more 500 poachers are coming forward for surrender under Manash National Park and it’s adjoining areas within few days in Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts.

He said that peoples in the BTR administration area always want massive development and integration among the society.
