Cheques Distributed Under CM Covid19 Widow’s Support Schemes In Kokrajhar


Kokrajhar, 2 September: Total 22 beneficiaries were today distributed cheques under the chief minister Covid19 Widow’s Support scheme at a ceremonial programme held at the conference hall of BTC Assembly in Kokrajhar.

Assam Housing & Urban Affairs, Irrigation minister Ashok Singhal and Handloom, Textile, Sericulture, Bodoland Welfare minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma along with BTR chief executive member attended the program and handed over the cheques of Rs 2.5 lakhs to 22 beneficiaries under the chief minister Covid 19 Widow’s Support scheme.

Ashok Singhal, who is the Guardian minister of Kokrajhar district, said 22 beneficiaries of the total 24 in Kokrajhar district were handed over to the cheques amounting Rs 2.5 lakhs each today. Stating that the unfortunate loss of the sole breadwinner in a household creates financial difficulties for the whole family, he said the state government is with those who have suffered due to Covid-19 pandemic.

BTC executive member Arup Kumar Dey, Addl chief secretary Manindar Singh, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Varnali Deka were also present were among those present.
