CM’s Disaster Relief Fund’s Cheque Distributes In Tamulpur


KOKRAJHAR, SEP 20: A total of 17 flood affected families under Tamulpur district were handed over cheques under Chief Minister’s (CM’s) Disaster Relief Fund at a programme held at DC office conference hall of Tamulpur on Tuesday.

The beneficiaries were from No.1 Bogoribari village of Tamulpur district whose houses were washed away in the flooding of Puthimari River during the summer season.

Each of the flood affected families was given away Rs.One lakh from CM’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member, Pramod Boro ceremonially distributed the cheques among the flood affected families in the presence of Tamulpur MLA Jolen Daimary and senior officials of the district administration.

In his speech, Boro said that the BTR government and state government have been jointly working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the common masses in the region.

He said that today flood affected families under Tamulpur district received the relief cheques against the flooding affected during the summer season.

He has extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for his strong initiative for providing relief towards the flood affected families in BTR districts.
