KOKRAJHAR, SEP 23: President of Bodoland People’s Front(BPF) Hagrama Mohilary said that COVID-19 pandemic cannot be valid factor for delaying BTC election in the Bodoland Territorial Council.
Mohilary, who was also former chief of BTC while attending a party meeting held at Ultapani along the Indo-Bhutan border area in Kokrajhar district today, has urged chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and state government to conduct the council elections within 27th October in the council to pave the way good governance.
Mohilary has emphasized to end the ongoing Governor’s Rule and also urge CM Sonowal not to extend Governor’s rule in BTAD. He said that due to imposition of Governor’s Rule in BTC all kinds of development and welfare activities have been stopped in the council region and common masses are deprived from welfare aspects. He said that citizens must get good living and integration in the region.
He has expressed his hopeful that BPF party is winning majority seats in the council elections and forming next council for bringing healthy development and welfare initiatives in the region.
He has assured more development and welfare steps to be initiated among sections of the communities if voted to the power in the council elections.
He has appealed all sections of society to vote in favor of BPF party in the council elections.
He has assured for all round development and welfare steps for the citizens in the region if voted to power.
On the day, over 500 new members from different party and organizations have joined the BPF party in the presence of BPF chief Mohilary at Ultapani and Saralpara.
