COVID Vaccination Review Meeting Held In Kokrajhar


KOKRAJHAR, SEP 4: A review meeting was held today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Varnali Deka to review on the performance of COVID vaccination across the district.

As per estimated eligible population for vaccination 18 years and above total beneficiary are 643166 out of which 355089 were administered 1st dose and 63903 were administered 2nd dose of COVID vaccination.

Total ppercentage achieved 1st dose 55.21% and 2nd dose 9.94% which is very low in the records of Kokrajhar district.

So, in order to gear up percentage few strategies are to be adopted as pointed up by the Deputy Commissioner.

Apart from COVID Vaccination Centre, COVID vaccination will be administered in regular routine immunisation session sites every Wednesday where Anganwadi Centres are in good condition.

Student union bodies, clerics of Church, VCDC members and prominent persons in the community will advocate the people to come forward for taking vaccination.

Numbers of COVID Vaccination Centre will be increased upto village level.

Group meetings will be conducted in those pockets where there are refusals for COVID vaccination.

Ward wise survey will be conducted in Kokrajhar and Gossaigaon town area to find out left out eligible beneficiary.

Sri P.K Gupta (ADC), Jt. Director of Health Services, SDM & HOs, District Immunisation Officer, NHM officials from Dldistrict and block level were present in the meeting.
