KOKRAJHAR, JAN 25: A multi community cultural exchange programme was carried out in all four districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) administration on Monday in connection with first BTR Accord Day celebration which was started from 24th January.
In Kokrajhar, BTC executive member Ukil Mushahary flagged off the cultural exchange rally at KDSA playground that traversed to BTC Secretariat field via JD Road.
Mushahary said that the cultural exchange programme was organised to bring unity and peace tranquility among all sections of communities in the region.
“The BTR administration has organised the cultural rally to bring healthy development and integration environment among the society under the leadership of BTR administration”, he said.
Later in the evening, a cultural night was also held at BTC Secretariat field Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
BTC executive member Arup Kumar Dey inaugurated the cultural night in the presence of huge participation of cultural troupes.
Dey said that the BTR administration has been emphasizing healthy living and integration among the society.
In Chirang, the cultural exchange programme was held at Kajalgaon ground in Chirang district.
BTC executive member Ranjit Basumatary inaugurated the cultural exchange rally amidst presence of huge cultural troupes.
BTR chief Pramod Boro graced in the cultural exchange programme held at Mushalpur in Baksa district.
Large number of cultural troupes from different communities including Bodo, Bengali, Rabha, Koch Rajbongshi participated.
