KOKRAJHAR, MAR 4: Chairperson of Kokrajhar child welfare committee (CWC) Malati Rani Narzary has expressed her serious concern over the increasing incident rate of crimes and atrocities on women and girls among the society.
On Friday, along with rest of the state, the national child protection day was celebrated at Kokrajhar Girls’ College auditorium in Kokrajhar.
The celebration has been emphasizing to create awareness on protection and crimes on women and girls among the society.
The celebration was organized by district child protection unit, Kokrajhar Social welfare department, Kokrajhar in collaboration with state child protection society Assam and Girls’ College Kokrajhar.
Principal of Kokrajhar Girls’ College Dr Ajijjur Rahman, Kokrajhar CWC chairperson Malati Rani Narzary, secretary of district legal services authority (DLSA) Kokrajhar, Boloram Kshetry were graced as speakers in the event.
The celebration has strongly stressed for creating awareness on child marriage, trafficking and crimes as well atrocities on women and girls etc.
Narzary has strongly expressed her resented over the increasing of atrocities and crimes on women and girls among the society.
She has demanded a strict step against the crimes on women and girls to end the unwanted incidents happening in the district. She has opined that the women and girls must be free from any kinds of atrocities and crimes.
Dr Rahman has urged the society to stand united against the crimes and atrocities on women and girls across the state. He has while emphasizing the need and importance of protection of women and girls among the society is very much needed to build a healthy human living.
