Death Toll Goes 3 In Kokrajhar


KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 27: The death toll due to COVID-19 positive case has gone up to three in Kokrajhar district in the second wave of COVID-19 situation with one more death on Tuesday.

One Khanshanan Brahma (62) of Gossaigaon Balimari succumbed to GMCH today after detection of COVID-19 positive case.

He was retired director of Bodoland Territorial Council Tourism department,was detected COVID-19 positive case few days ago and admitted to GMCH for treatment.

The COVID-19 has also claimed one more person in Kokrajhar district on Monday evening. The deceased person was identified as Nawaram Basumatary (61) of Rupathinagar, Kokrajhar.

He was admitted to RNB civil hospital after detection COVID positive on Monday morning and later he has succumbed on the way for GMCH after referred. He was a retired railway employee in Kokrajhar.

On Saturday,one Kayem Ali (52) of Bhodeaguri Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar district was succumbed to GMCH due to COVID-19 positive.

He was first admitted to Goalpara civil hospital and referred to Barpeta medical college for treatment in a critical condition.

Later,he was referred to GMCH where he succumbed.

Meanwhile, nearly 180 persons are detected COVID-19 positive active case in the entire district of Kokrajhar including 70 found positive case on Tuesday.
