KOKRAJHAR, DEC 5: A general meeting of the Kokrajhar district committee of Assam State Retired Primary Teacher’s Welfare Federation was held on Sunday at Sikhak Bhawan, Rahindra Nagar in Kokrajhar with Khanin Roy, retired teacher in the chair.
Retired LP school teachers across the entire Kokrajhar district participated the meeting where the federation discussed deeply on the welfare aspects of the retired teachers was held and resolved to initiate activities for the wellbeing of the retired teachers across the state.
During the meeting, Kokrajhar district committee of the federation was formed with Khanin Roy as president and Bhawani Prasad Kurmi as secretary.
Askar Ali, Dinesh Uppadhya and Nihar Ranjan Narh were held as vice presidents.
Swapan Kumar Dey, Nepal Debnath and Normal Debnath were held as assistant secretaries along with 14 other executive members of the committee.
State secretary of the federation Anangga Kumar Nath graced as chief guest in the general meeting.
Nath said that the federation was formed in August last to work for the welfare affairs of the retired LP school teachers across the entire Assam state. He said that the federation has been stepping to extend cooperation and rendering welfare services for the retired teachers while taking retirements in their life. He informed that so far several district committes in the upper Assam have been formed and rendering services among the retired teachers in the state. He has lauded the state government for extending cooperation and helping hand towards the retired teachers while drawing pensions on scheduled period through the on-line mode as present state government has been working with dedicated attitude.
