Education Minister Dr Pegu Assures For Solving Issue And Problems Of Bodo Medium


KOKRAJHAR, JUL 3: Despite heavy rain since morning, Assam Education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu has arrived at Kokrajhar railway station this morning 9.45 am by Rajdhani Express train to visit in Kokrajhar.

Dr Pegu visits Kokrajhar first time today after becoming Education minister of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Dr Pegu attended at a meeting held at BTC Secretariat and he is regarded as first education minister of the state, who personally participated in a meeting held outside of Dispur with BTR education department officials, organisation leaders besides BTR CEM Pramod Boro.

He also held meeting with leaders from various organizations including All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Bodo Writer’s Academy, All Bodo Primary Teacher’s Association etc to discuss about the development and uplift of Bodo medium including infrastructural, student’s enrollment and bringing quality education among the society.

Talking to the media persons, Dr Ranoj Pegu has assured for solving the issue and problems of Bodo medium related cases including provicialisation of Bodo medium school, language upliftment etc within short span of days in the state.

He said that the state government and education department is organising a speedily TET examination for the BTR districts to appoint teachers within this 2021 year.

Dr Pegu said that state government and education department is initiating strong step to solve the problem and issues of the Bodo medium schools including teacher’s appointment, infrastructural welfare, providing quality education environment among the society.

He informed that the meeting was fruitful and discussed thoroughly over the Bodo medium related cases. He said that the state government is committed to work for the massive development and uplift of the Bodo medium education and language development across the state.

He has promised to tackle the problem and issues of Bodo medium including Bodo medium directorate would be solved through the deep discussion with concern authorities in days to come.

” I am coming here to meet education department officials of BTC, organisation leaders those are working for the welfare and development of the Bodo medium education and language welfare in BTC districts. I took stock about the prevailing situation of Bodo medium education and discussed deeply for bringing massive development”, Dr Pegu added.

Dr Pegu informed that the marks evaluation of HSLC/HSSLC has been prepared process and results would be declared within 31st July as two.

He said that the evaluation of marks would be positive for the future of the students. He said that he is holding talks with AASU, ABSU and several organisations over the outcome of the marks evaluation procedures as several students unions have expressed their resented and unhappy.

He has clearly informed that due to ongoing COVID-19 situation the state government and Education department have taken process of marks evaluation process to continue career building up of students generation in the state.

BTR CEM Pramod Boro, ABSU president Dipen Boro and Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma have hailed the Education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu’s first visit in Kokrajhar and termed that Dr Pegu is the first state Education minister who personally visited and participated in a educational meeting held outside of Dispur in the history of the state.

Boro informed that the meeting with Dr Pegu was a fruitful and healthy discussion on the Bodo medium related issues. He said that Dr Pegu has assured BTC administrations and organisation leaders to solve the issue and grievances of the Bodo medium related cases.

He said that BTR administration and state government have been Initiating strong step to bring healthy development and welfare of the Bodo medium education.

ABSU president Dipen Boro told that the students union has submitted a 22 charter of points memorandum to the education minister seeking early solutions of the various issues and grievances of the Bodo medium education including provincialisation of schools, teacher’s appointment etc across the state.
