Free Textbooks Distributed Among Class-XII Students In Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, JUN 7: With the state government’s aim of enhancing quality education under the free textbooks distribution scheme, the Chirang education department has also started distributing free textbooks among the students of class-XII on Monday.

In this connection, a meeting was held with all the COVID-19 protocols in place under the chairmanship of Bijay Baishnab, Inspector of Schools, Chirang in the conference hall of the Dhaligaon high school.

On the occasion, attending as Chief Guest, the Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, Narendra Kumar Shah inaugurated the free textbooks distribution programme in the district. As many as principals of 9 Higher Secondary Schools namely Bijni Bidyapith Higher Secondary School, Bijni Bandab Higher Secondary School, Amguri Higher Secondary School, Borobazar Higher Secondary School, Tukrajhar Higher Secondary School, Bengtal Higher Secondary School, Netaji Subhash Bidya Niketan Higher Secondary School, Basugaon Higher Secondary School and Sidli-Kashikatra Higher Secondary School of Chirang district had ceremonialy recieved the free textbooks on the first day. The programme ended with the vote of thanks offered by the Secretary of Chirang district academy council Neelkamal Basumatary
