Girl’s College Face Scarcities Of Class Room, Teaching Staffs In Kokrajhar


KOKRAJHAR, NOV 26: The Kokrajhar Girl’s College has been facing scarcities of class room as well teaching staffs since few years while rendering quality educatiional services among the students in the college.

The Kokrajhar Girl’s College is regarded as the only girl’s college in the entire Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) which was established in 1990 to render quality educatiional services among the society in lower Assam districts.

Over 750 students are taking higher educatioal career in the college where College have only capacities of nearly 500 students.

In the current educatiional academic session, the college have to bear huge enrollment of students as student’s admission have gone in massive number post COVID situation across the districts.

The college authority has been facing severe scarcities of class rooms as well crisis of teaching staffs while leading a good educatiional environment among the students.

A morning shift has also been arranged to extend rendering educational services for the students in the college.

The college authority has intimated that only 17 faculties are rendering their teaching services in the college with shouldering massive dedication for the greater interest of the student fraternities.

Principal of the college, Dr Azizur Rahman told that the college authority is facing scarcities of sufficient classroom and teaching staffs since few years. He said that this 2021-22 a huge students have admitted in the college and accordingly college faced hardships of leading a healthy classroom management.

He has urged the BTR administration and state government to extend necessary support to the college to make a healthy quality education environment in the region.

He informed that the college authority have so far met BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro over the issues of class room and teaching staff’s scarcities in the college and BTR CEM Boro assured for early solutions of the issues and grievances of the college.

Meanwhile, the Girl’s College organised the freshmen social day-2021 today at the college complex in Kokrajhar.

MLA from Gossaigaon LAC, Jiron Basumatary graced as chief guest on the occasion which was chaired by Dr Azizur Rahman, Principal of the college.

Former principal of Kokrajhar DIET Prof Bandhuram Basumatary also attended as guest in the event.

Students have presented a grand cultural demonstration representing different communities in the programme.
