KOKRAJHAR, NOV 6: Protesting against former MLA Sherman Ali’s move to setting up Miyan Museum in Sangkhardev Kalakhetra Guwahati, the Hindu Jagaran Manch burnt effigy of Sherman Ali today at Salakati in Kokrajhar district.
The Manch strongly objected to the Ali for his remarks over the Miyan Museum in Guwahati and termed that it was totally against the interest of the integrated society in Assam state.
Hundreds of manch activists from Kokrajhar and committee participated in a protest rally at Salakati main road and burnt the effigy of Sherman Ali and demanded strict action against him.
The manch members put demand to the state government and concern authorities to take strict initiative against Ali who had spoke against the integrity in the state society.
Northeastern region in-charge of Hindu Jagaran Manch, Jogesh Shastri told that the manch protested against the Ali and accordingly burnt the effigy of Ali. He said that the manch would not allow to establish Miyan Museum in the state.
On the Pakistan zindabad row, Shastri also strongly condemned the Pakistan zindabad language used today in Barak valley by some peoples who have been trying to expand sympathy of the foreign country. He has urged state government to take strict step against the voice raise of Pakistan zindabad.
He said that state government should initiate necessary step against the persons those voiced of Pakistan zindabad in the state of Assam.
Secretary of Kokrajhar district unit of Hindu Jagaran Manch Lachim Boro said that the manch never accept the Miyan Museum in the state. He has strongly condemned the remarks of Sherman Ali.
He said that the manch will be continuing it’s protest against the Ali in days to come.
