International Poets Meet Begins At Bodofa Cultural Complex


KOKRAJHAR, NOV 14: Kokrajhar Literary Festival-2021 begins today at Bodofa Cultural complex in Kokrajhar with three day program scheduled.

An international poets meet was also organised in the festival where over 113 languages from different literary society and communities from different state from India and international are participating.

The first ever literary festival has been organising by BTR administration to build peace and Iove among the society.

Chairman of reception committee of the festival Dr Surath Narzary hoisted festival flag and Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Taren Boro hoisted sabha flag on the occasion.

Eminent writer from Rajasthan Meetesh Nirmohi graced as chief guest on the first day.

Over 200 poets from national and international figured are participating the event on offline and online mode besides over 1000 peoples are thronging the event.

BTR CEM Pramod Boro lighted the lamp to inaugurate the festival which saw good participation across the country representing different 100 languages that marked poetry for peace and love among the society.

In the inaugural session, Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Taren Boro, ABSU president Dipen Boro, Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, BTC Principal Secretary Shantanu P Gotmare were prominent attendees on the occasion.

Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Taren Boro said that the festival is an initiative to create healthy literary creativity as well building peace and love.

Poets from Sikkim state said that the festival has an impressive while building an integration among various languages of different communities in the region.

They said the festival is creating an environment of healthy get-together among the writers.

BTR CEM Pramod Boro has said that the BTR administration has carried out an initiative to extend environment for building up healthy integration with paving the way peace and love environment.

Nirmohi has lauded the literary festival cum poets meet held in Kokrajhar, said that it is the need of the society to have healthy welfare and integration among all sections of the society across the country. He said that the festival is marking new way for creating communication with literary creativity among the writers of different languages representing various communities in the state.
