KOKRAJHAR, AUG 20: The Kokrajhar district administration is all set to conduct free, fair and transparent written examinations for recruitment to class III and class IV posts in various Government establishments on August 21(2022).
In this connection, along with imparting training to all Centre-in-charge, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner, Varnali Deka held a meeting with all concerned officers of the District Administration and Centre-in-charge wherein all guidelines given by the state government were reiterated, doubts were cleared and procedures were explained. Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka alongwith Secretary to the Government of Assam Binita Pegu, nominated as District Nodal Officer briefed the Observers regarding their roles and responsibilities.
It may be mentioned that a total of 51,895 candidates will appear for the written examination at 75 centres in the district. Of these, 40,047 candidates will sit for the examination in the morning and 11,848 candidates will sit for the examination in the evening.
The District administration has also arranged for Observers, Supervising Officers and Invigilators for all examination centres, including 4 designated centres for PwD candidates. In addition to that, Executive Magistrates and security personnel have already been deployed to cover all the examination centres.
Meanwhile, in order to hold the examination in free, fair and transparent manner and to restrict the involvement of any undesired external influence and malpractices during the entire examination process, the District Magistrate, Kokrajhar, on Saturday Varnali Deka has promulgated a Notification under Section 144 CrPc. It is mentioned in the Notification that gathering of people within the radius of 100 metres of each examination centres other than candidates, scribes and officials engaged for conduct and monitoring of examination, carrying of prohibited items in the examination halls by the candidates such as mobile phones (even in switch off mode), any electronic equipments or programmable devices such as smart watch, health bands, electronic pens, scanners, bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones or any other such devices either in working or switch off mode capable of being used as a communication device, calculator, pen drive, bits of paper etc, textual materials (printed or written) and any items which could be used for adopting unfair means.
On the other hand, the candidates can carry their admit cards with relevant photographs, pen, pencil, eraser, ID proof, disability certificates in their examination halls. The District Magistrate appealed to all candidates to follow all the rules of the examination.
Meanwhile, the police administration, Kokrajhar has made a strong security vigil along the examination centres in the entire district of Kokrajhar.
Senior police officials of Kokrajhar have made briefing regarding upcoming various grade III & grade IV posts recruitment of Assam state government which was held at Kokrajhar parade ground.
