Land Patta and Allotment Certificates Distributed in BTR


KOKRAJHAR, JAN 23: Citizens of four districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) have received the land entitlement certificates under the bold leadership of state government and BTC administration on Saturday across the region along with rest of the state.

In Kokrajhar, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro ceremonially distributed land entitlement certificate among citizens those are living along the forest areas since long years in Kokrajhar district.

Nearly 120 persons out of 1700 were given away certificate in a programme held at BTC Secretariat ground Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar which was initiated by BTC land and revenue department.

BTC CEM Pramod Boro after distributing land entitlement certificate told that the government has emphasised to bring peace and tranquility among the ethnic communities through which peoples are getting massive welfare and development.

He said that UPPL-BJP-GSP combined coalition government has implemented their assurance and commitment given away during the election days.

He said that his government is fully committed to work for the welfare and development of the citizens with fruitful steps in days to come.

“Citizens must take integrated society building in the region as UPPL-BJP-GSP combined coalition government was working with dedicatedly for healthy living”, Boro said.

“Policy for use of land must be initiated with strong interest”, Boro said.

He said that the land rights are giving away to the indigenous peoples and those are living since long years in the region. He said that citizens must also maintain biological environment while leading healthy living.

In Chirang, along with other districts of the state, land patta and land allotment certificates were distributed to the landless indigenous people in Chirang district on Saturday.

After the ceremonial distribution of land patta and allotment certificates by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at Shivsagar Jerenga Pathar, distribution of land pattas among 200 beneficiaries  and distribution of land allotment certificates among 638 beneficiaries under Bijni, sidli and Bengtal Revenue Circle of Chirang district was also organized in the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kajalgaon, Chirang.

Ukil Mushahary, Hon’ble EM, BTC for Water Resources graced the programme held in the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s office at Kajalgaon as Chief Guest and ceremonialy handed over the land documents to the beneficiaries in the presence of Gautam Das, EM, BTC for Agriculture department, Bijni MLA Kamalsing Narzary, MCLAs Abhiram Mahanayak and Madhab Chandra Chetry and other dignitaries. On the occasion, out of 837 land documents, 200 pattas and 637 land-allotment  certificates were distributed to the landless indigenous families of Sidli, Bengtal and Bijni Revenue Circle in the district.

In his speech as Chief Guest, Executive Member Ukil Muchahary said, ‘The present BTC government of UPPL, BJP and AJP is trying to fulfill all its election promises one by one.

Giving land rights to the poor and landless people of BTR was also a commitment of our party or in our priority list. We are happy that all these are fulfilling within the one month of our government in the BTC,”. He also given assurance that in the coming days, the rest land pattas and land allotment certificates would be distributed to the landless indigenous families at their respective villages.

In the meeting, Bijni MLA Kamal Singh Narzary hailed the state government for taking steps for providing land documents to the needy and landless people. Deputy Commissioner Gautam Talukdar also thanked the state government and pramod Boro led BTC government for their noble work for the betterment of the poor people while delivering vote of thanks.

In Udalguri, BTC deputy chief Gobinda Chandra Basumatary distributed land entitlement certificate among the beneficiaries.
