Lower Assam Minority Council extends support to UPPL

KOKRAJHAR, NOV 23: The Lower Assam  Minority Council (LARMC) has extended support to the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) in the scheduled BTC council elections to be held on December 7 and 10 with two phases for 40 member house.

Addressing the reporters at a press conference held at Kokrajhar Press Club today, president of council Rofiqul Haque Choudhury and Secretary Aktar Ali have announced their decision to extend support to the UPPL party in the council elections.

They informed that they have decided to support to the UPPL party for long terms for the greater interest of the minority peoples of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) area.

The council has submitted a supporting letter to the UPPL party chief Pramod Boro with whole heartedly in the ensuing BTC council elections.

They have claimed that the UPPL party is getting massive supports from all sections of the society in the region and forming government in the next BTC council elections.

Choudhury alleged that BPF ruled BTC administration has failed to work for the welfare and development for the minority peoples in the council region.

He has expressed his hopeful that UPPL party is taking stern step to uplift and welfare for minority peoples if voted to the power.

He said that minority peoples as a whole have been extending support for massive winning in the scheduled BTC council elections.

“We are very much optimistic that UPPL party is getting massive support and welfare gestures to make majority seat winning in the council elections”, Choudhury added
