Maha Shivaratri Celebrated in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, MAR 11:- Irrespective of caste, creed, language and community residents of Kokrajhar offered their prayer and worship floral to the Lord Shiva on the occasion of Maha Shivatatri puja festival which is being celebrated in Kokrajhar, heart town of BTC administration amidst wearing a festive look and tight security at Shiva Temples
along with other parts of the state.

The Shivaratri puja has been organized at various Shiva temples in Kokrajhar town. At Thanapara Shiva temple, devotees from various parts of the town thronged and paid rich flower Prasad, milk and prayed to the Lord Shiva for social welfare and recovery of their respective families.

The puja was also organized at Paglababa Shiva Mandir, Dimalgaon and Tengapara Shiva Mandir near Railway station. The puja celebration has started at early morning 4 am today and would continue till night.

Biswanath Adhikari, Priest of Thanapara Shiva Temple said the Shivaratri puja celebration was began today afternoon. All devotees from various parts of the town thronged and paid flower-prasad to the lord Shiva with their traditional Hinduism method of puja archana since morning. He said the puja is puja of bringing peace and harmony among all sections of community in the region as well as across the state. He prayed to the almighty God for permanent peace society among the common masses.

Besides this, the Maha Shivaratri was also celebrated at Fakiragram Shiva Mandir, Dotma Shiva temple, Serfanguri Shiva mandir with praying for a peace and harmony among the common publics.
