KOKRAJHAR, JUL 7: Noted social activist, former general secretary of Banargaon anchalik committee ABSU and assistant teacher of Banargaon High School, Mahadev Mushahary passed away today afternoon at a private hospital in Siliguri of West Bengal due to heart stroke.
Mushahary, who is popularly known as Mijinkthi Mushahary met a heart stroke few days ago. He was immediately admitted to the MRM Hospital, Kokrajhar and later refered to the Dr Malay’s Hospital, Siliguri and breathed his last at around 1.52 pm today.
He was 56. He leaves four daughters, wife and family relatives.
He is hailed from Taktara village of Banargaon in Kokrajhar district.
He held two-time general secretary of Banargaon anchalik committee ABSU besides held adviser of the anchalik committee ABSU for several years.
Mushahary is one of prominent social activist and student union leader from Banargaon area during the Bodoland movement period under the leadership of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma.
He was associated with various social organisations, Banargaon primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha in his life.
Bodoland Territorial Region chief executive member Pramod Boro,Kokrajhar East LAC MLA Lawrence Islary have extended deep condolence and mourning over his dead.
Boro said that citizens in the greater Banargaon area. He has prayed for his eternal peace.
Several students union, social organisations including All Bodo Students Union, Banargaon primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha, tribal Sangha have also extended deep condolence and deep mourning over his demise.
