KOKRAJHAR, JUN 11: A meeting with leading environmentalists and wildlife protection specialists working in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) districts was held on Saturday in Kokrajhar.
The meeting discussed deeply with strategies building up on issues concerning in today’s environmental situation across the region as well state as a whole which was chaired by BTR CEM Pramod Boro.
The meeting has been emphasizing for minimising human-animal conflict, augmenting eco-tourism potentials of the region and stresses for greenery and healthy reforestation to make a balance enviornment among the human living.
The meeting also emphasize was given on ensuring sustainable natural resources linked livelihood options for communities in Bodoand region.
Boro said that the BTR government has been stepping to make a healthy and balance enviornment across the region with maintaining sustainable natural resources linked livelihoods.
He has urged the environmentalists to work towards the protection of wildlife and healthy environment in the districts of Bodoland region.
Among others, BTR executive member Arup Kumar Dey was also present in the meeting.
