KOKRAJHAR, JUL 7: A joint meeting was held on Wednesday at BTC Secretariat in connection with job oriented training & capacity building as well as rehabilitation of the former cadre/ members of NDFB, non NDFB/ unemployment youths of Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
During the meeting, inspector general of police (IGP) for Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR), officials from Indian army, SSB, CRPF, president/ secretary of All Bodo Students Union, BTR CEM Pramod Boro, Deputy CEM Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, BTC executive members, Principal Secretary and Secretaries were attended and discussed thoroughly on the job orientation training programme to have engagement of the unemployed youths in the region.
The jobs engagement/ absorption in the area of CRPF, Indian Army, SSB, shall be done through the selection committee by relaxing recruitment norms and procedures and hopeful that the unemployed youths would be engaged in a jobs.
The joint meeting has decided to form a committee in BTR districts as a whole and also will have a district wise committee for the selection purposes of the youths in various security forces in the region.
During the meeting, it has been discussed on the properly rehabilitation of the former NDFB members/ cadres besides engaging them in the paramilitary forces and a proposal has been sent to engage the ex NDFB members and cadre in the Territorial Army.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro said that the meeting was fruitful and decisive for bringing job engagement in BTR districts.
