Naame Basumatary Confers Aaijw Falangi Bantha in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, MAR 8: Noted woman enterprenurship of Karigaon Naame Basumatary (Nani Basumatary) has been confered Aaijw Falangi Bantha (Woman Enterprenurship award)-2021 on the occasion of International Woman’s Day celebration on Monday in Kokrajhar.

Basumatary who has been dealing her business since 26 years back and presently involving with her entrepreneurship at the greater Karigaon area in Kokrajhar district.

This year, she has been recognized as a best woman enterprenurship and was conferred the Aaijw Falangi Bantha for dedication with earning livelihood.

The award has been instituted by NERSWN NGO Kokrajhar and giving away every year to make encouraging the womens among the society.

NERSWN NGO observed the International Woman’s Day at Gwjwndera Chandrapara in Kokrajhar today.

The award comprising of a citation, momento, Eri shawl and cash INR 21,000.

BTR CEM Pramod Boro graced as chief guest on the occasion.

Boro has lauded the organisers for organizing the international women’s day in the region.

He informed that BTR administration and state government have been carrying several welfare schemes to make uplift and development among the society.

Noted social activist Gita Bhattacharya of Guwahati, noted social activist Rani Helen Wary were graced as guests on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the All Bodo Students Union observed the international women’s day at Bengtol in Chirang with two day programme scheduled beginning from Sunday.

ABSU president Dipen Boro said that the students union has initiating strong step for uplifting the women fraternities.
