NGO Distributes Food Grains In Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, JUN 2: Initiating to extend helping hand among the below poverty line (BPL) families during the ongoing COVID-19 situation,the Ideal NGO ( a non government organisation), Kokrajhar distributed food grains today in various villages under Kokrajhar East constituency.

The Ideal NGO has been rendering their services towards the humanity welfare and development among all sections of the society besides especially rendered medical care services for the needy and patients in greater Kokrajhar and it’s adjoining areas.

On Wednesday, amidst maintaining social distancing and Covid protocol, members from Ideal NGO have distributed essential food grains including Rice, Dal, Biscuit’s, Musterd oil, potato, detergent, soap, salt, Soyabeen among the over 150 BPL families at Bechimari and Santinagar villages in Kokrajhar. The NGO members also distributed hands sanitizer and masks besides creating awareness on Covid situation during their social venture.

Most of the BPL families are facing severe hardships due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic among the society and the Ideal NGO accordingly come forward to extend little helping hand towards the needy and BPL families by distributing essential food items.

President of the Ideal NGO, Praloya Datta said that they have come forward to render humanity services by providing little kind of rice and other essential food items for the citizens.

He informed that his NGO members and office bearers are working dedicatedly towards social integration and uplift through the humanity services.

He said that recently NGO members rescued a TB patient and admitted to RNB civil hospital Kokrajhar who face homelessness following house owner locked his rented room in Kokrajhar.

He has urged citizens to maintain social security and using hands sanitization as well as masks to stop the spreading of COVID-19 situation.

” We are coming forward to extend support and helping hand towards the needy citizens those are coming from hands to mouth. We distributed little food grains and essential food items”, said NGO members.

Beneficiaries extended their gratitude and thanks to the NGO members for extending support and helping hand towards peoples at Bechimari and Santinagar villages.

Notably,till date 30 persons killed and over 350 detected COVID-19 positive active cases across the Kokrajhar district.
