Organisation Leaders Expresses Condolence Over Dr Bora’s Demise


KOKRAJHAR, JUN 3: Various organisation leaders and individuals of Bodo belts in the state of Assam including chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Pramod Boro, Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, president of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) Dipen Boro have extended deep condolence and mourning over the sad demise of noted author, Sahitya Akademi award winner and former president of Assam Sahitya Sabha Padmashri (Dr) Lakhinandan Bora today.

BTR CEM Boro, in his condolence message expresses deep sorrow and condolences over Dr Bora’s expired, who had contributed a lot towards uplift and development of the Assamese literary through his creativity.He has prayed for eternal heavenly peace of his departed soul.

” I do express my deep sense of sorrow that Dr Bora, an eminent author of the state passed away today. His contribution towards the Assamese literary uplift and language development in the state of Assam is enormous”, Boro said.

Assam cabinet minister and Sahitya Akademi award winner, Urkhao Gwra Brahma has extended deep condolence and mourning over Dr Bora’s demise, said that the state loss a great scholar and author with his death.

Noted author, Sahitya Akademi award winner, Padmashri (Dr) Mangalsingh Hazoary, Kokrajhar Press Club, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Kokrajhar Sakha Assam Sahitya Sabha have also expressed deep sorrow over Dr Bora’s death.

Hazoary said that the state loss a great author and scholar with his death, who contributed endless through his writings. Bora was a person who wrote many books in his life.

” His contribution was endless in the field of Assamese literary world and it would be remembered among the society”, Hazoary added.
