Padmashri Kamewwar Brahma Named For Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Award


KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 8: Noted author and educationist Padmashri (Dr) Kameswar Brahma has been named for 3rd Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Award-2021.

The Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKBT) has announced it’s decision for conferring the award in its meeting held on 6th April under thep presidertship of Rakheswar Brahma, chairman of the Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKBT).

The meting declared the name of Dr Brahma for the award on the basis of his contribution towards the development of philosophy of Gurudev in particular and all round development of the society as a whole.

The award in the form of Gurudev’s photo ad Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand) will be presented to the awardee at a programme to be held at Gauhati University on 18th April 2021 on the occasion of 162nd birth anniversary of Gurudev Kalicharan Bahma.

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro and Dr. Pratap Jyoti Handique, vice chancellor of Gauhati University are attending as guests.

In a press statement, secretary of Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust (GKB), Dr Ajit Boro informed that the trust has decided to confer the award to Dr Brahma for his dedication towards upift of social integration among the society.
