Police Arrested 10 ULB Cadres In BTR

KOKRAJHAR, SEP 24: Police administration have apprehended ten members of newly floated United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) from different three districts of Bodoland Territorial Region.

Addressing a press conference held at SP office today in Kokrajhar, Special DGP and in-charge IGP of BTR Dr LR Bishnoi told that police have apprehended 10 ULB cadres from different places of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts within two days.

He said that eight of the ten arrested ULB militant outfit organisation were from Kokrajhar district.

He informed that police rcovered two pistols, ammunitions, 12 mobile handset and 21 extortion demand letter notes of the ULB militant outfit organisation recovered from the arrested persons.

He said that six of the of the ten members were identified so far.

He said that police administration has been stepping strict step against the militant outfit organisation in the region.

Bishnoi said that there are six sophiscated arms with the ULB militant outfit cadres.

He has urged the militant organisation members to shun violence and come to the mainstream for healthy and welfare society bringing.

He said that police arrested one Danswrang Basumatary of Baksa along with a cadre of United Gorkha People’s Organisation.He  was identified as Dipak Thapa.
