KOKRAJHAR, MAR 28: Police administration in Kokrajhar have carried out a road march in Kokrajhar town ahead the assembly elections to create mass awareness.
The march was led by Additional DGP and in-charge IGP (BTC) Dr LR Bishnoi and was associated by Rakesh Roushan, SP Kokrajhar which was started from Kokrajhar Sadar police station traversed to JD Road, Bhatarmari, Santinagar and concluded at the same point.
Dr Bishnoi told that sufficient security forces have been deployed in four districts of BTC ahead the assembly elections.
He said that there are 25 company security forces already available and 80 more companies are arriving in BTC districts during the assembly elections to meet free and fair elections.
He informed that police administration is fully ready for the assembly elections.
He said that police so far seized RS.90 lakhs and destroyed over 30 thousand liters of liquors across the region.
He said that police administration has initiated strict steps to ensure free and fair assembly elections and strong operations against the militant organisation in the region.
Bishnoi said that peoples are wanting peace and harmony among the society.
Dr Bishnoi and senior police officials have interacted with citizens of the Kokrajhar town and shared views about the bringing peace and harmony among the society.
